OSD Tanks, formally known as Onsite Stormwater Detention Tanks, are used to detain stormwater with the aim of slowly releasing that captured water to the street kerb or into Council’s stormwater drainage system. The process primarily minimises the risk of property damage caused by flooding, but also paces the hydraulic load on Council's drainage system.
Installing an OSD Tank is often a mandatory requirement for new dwellings and sometimes renovations in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, as stipulated by the relevant Council authorities.
All of our Colorbond Aquaplate Steel Water Tanks can be customized to achieve the particular OSD set-up required for your project, from the tank's dimensions and capacity through to all of the relevant tank inputs, outlets and overflow fittings, including orifice plates.
